Texas: On and Off the Train

This summer I went to Texas by Amtrak, The United State's national rail passenger service, to the farm, family, and food. The following, in no particular order, are selections from my two-week trip. Click to enlarge the pictures, hover your mouse over the picture to see the caption. It might take a minute for all of the pictures to show up.

Coming into Fort Worth, Texas... always late because of freight traffic It's always 1984 at the farm Sunset at the farm It's not the camera that's crooked, it's the farmhouse Cousin #6 Tractor sitting next to the shed Just needs a little paint, runs great Houston Museum of Natural Science, the pendulum keeps time using Earth's rotation Sun shining coming into Houston Temple, Texas train station Military vehicles headed toward the coast The front of the train coming into Dallas Lots of trees/brush line the tracks Crossing the Mississippi river The St. Louis Gateway Arch After crossing the Mississippi Houston
